Ah Sunday. The most complicated day of the week. The day we love to laze around binge watching our favourite shows until around 5pm when the sudden realisation of Monday sets in and we begin dreading the inevitable week that lies ahead.
For me Sunday is a day of utter relaxation. A day to recharge and prepare for the week ahead. So today I’m going to share with you some tips on how you can have the perfect Sunday and tackle those weekend blues.
1. Lie in
For me Sunday is a day of rest meaning I’ll set my alarm for an hour or two later than usual to allow my body to recharge. Getting enough sleep is mega important so why not allow yourself to wake up naturally on a Sunday. Go on. You deserve it.
Sunday is the day for binge watching all your favourite shows. You are guaranteed to find me snuggled up on the sofa in my PJ’s eating all kinds of unhealthy foods come Sunday morning. Seriously though, Netflix has sooo many options. It would be a crime not too really.
3. Fresh Sheets
There’s nothing like the feeling of getting into bed with fresh bedding. So strip those sheets and whack on a fresh set and get ready to settle down for a good nights sleep.
Whether its a Sunday roast, a full English or takeaway that does it for you Sunday is the day to indulge. Personally I like to tuck into a bar of chocolate whilst I watch a movie or order a cheeky takeaway as a last treat before the hard work begins again.
It’s time to relax girl! Do whatever it is you like to do to unwind. Run that bath, put on a face mask or read that book! For me its soaking in a hot bath with a glass of Amaretto whilst I prune. Facemasks are also a firm favourite. Whatever it is you like to do, be sure to take the time to take care of YOU.
My main priority on a Sunday is to make sure that I’m ready for the week ahead. This means getting all of the boring stuff out of the way such as the doing the housework and making sure my uniform is ready for work. Personally I hate leaving things to the last minute so set some time aside to do the important things. You know what they say – a Sunday well spent bring a week of content!
That’s all from me today. Have a happy Sunday everyone I’m off to snuggle with the dog and eat all kinds of deliciousness.
Until next time,
